ABSTRACT: OBJECTIVE: Reflect on the technologies used by health professionals to promote active aging during the COVID-19 pandemic. METHODS: Theoretical-reflective study. To support the reflection, public and national policies and articles relevant to the theme were used. The work addresses three themes: technology as a promoter of autonomy and independence inactive aging during the COVID-19 pandemic, technology as a promoter of quality of life linked to active aging during the COVID-19 pandemic, technology as a promoter of life expectancy through the period of active aging during the COVID-19 pandemic. RESULTSAND DISCUSSION: The digital tools, remote technologies, media and social networks have driven educational technology. While assistive or support technologies were identified inassociation with communication vehicles and applications. The technologies are similar inensuring resources and services that contribute to providing or expanding people' s functionalabilities, providing principles such as autonomy, independence, quality of life and,consequently, their life expectancy. FINAL CONSIDERATIONS: The incorporation of technological intelligence, even as an emergency during the pandemic, has become anessential tool to promote healthy and active aging, with social inclusion.
