ABSTRACT: OBJECTIVE: To analyze, based on scientific literature, the management of suspected or confirmed pregnant women for COVID-19. METHODS: This is an integrative literature review, carried out in the Virtual Health Library (VHL), and in the PubMed and Google Scholar databases, with the following descriptors: pregnancy, prenatal care and coronavirus infections. Full articles in Portuguese and English, published from December 2019 to July 2021, were included. RESULTS: The results of the studies in this research state that pregnant women should have supportive therapy taking into account the moment they experience. CONCLUSION: Complication and recovery rates in COVID-19 infection in pregnant and postpartum women are very similar to non-pregnant patients. Thus, the approach to COVID-19 in pregnant women must include, in addition to general guidelines to minimize the spread of the virus, as well as clarification on prenatal care and its continuation without the existence of relevant risks.
