ABSTRACT: OBJECTIVE: To report on the experience of distance learning in the Health with Agents program, from the perspective of tutors from different regions of the country. MATERIALS AND METHODS: This is a qualitative and descriptive study, developed from the reports of tutors from the Health with Agents program, conducted online and free of charge from August 2022 to November 2023. The participants were tutors, preceptors, community health agents, and endemic disease control agents. RESULTS AND DISCUSSION: The Health with Agents course enabled the qualification of community health agents and endemic disease control agents through mediation by tutors and preceptors in the theoretical and practical fields, respectively. The program allowed workers to share experiences, apply theoretical content to their daily work, carry out interventions appropriate to their reality, and collectively build knowledge. Thus, workers began to share the knowledge they had acquired, reconstructing, interpreting, and adapting it to their professional practice. FINAL CONSIDERATIONS: The nationwide The Health with Agents program involved different actors in primary health care in the theoretical and practical articulation of knowledge, characterizing the integration of teaching and service. However, the online modality applied to health workers requires adequate structural and material support in order to enable better use of the course and its content.
