ABSTRACT: OBJECTIVE: To report the experience of members of the Entardecer Científico extension project, from the State University of Mato Grosso (UNEMAT) who addressed the topic of a lecture on “Pediatric Multisystemic Inflammatory Syndrome associated with COVID-19” in an online event. METHODOLOGY: Project linked to the Faculty of Health Sciences at UNEMAT, free registration, carried out on the university' s event website, EVA-FAESPE platform, which makes it possible to create the event, the registration link and register variables to evaluate the event, these which are already tabulated in relative frequency and were used in this study, as they are in the public domain. RESULT AND DISCUSSION: There were one hundred people enrolled, however 47 were present. Of these, 79% were academics, 70% nursing, 94% rated the topic and the speaker' s performance as excellent. The Pediatric Multisystemic Inflammatory Syndrome related to COVID-19, affects children aged 0 to 21 years, has been associated with hospitalizations, organ failure and can lead to death, making it important to identify and immediately help them, it can occur up to 6 weeks after infection with the virus, therefore it is mainly positive for the memory antibody IGG. CONCLUSION: The importance of continuing academic events is observed, in order to contribute to the education of students and community, with up-to-date scientific knowledge, based on scientific evidence.
