ABSTRACT: OBJECTIVE: Describes the process of elaborating a professional activity portfolio for a professional master' s degree. METHODS: Experience report of a student of the Professional Masters Course in Telehealth and Telemedicine at the State University of Rio de Janeiro (UERJ) on the preparation of a portfolio of professional practical activity. RESULTS AND DISCUSSION: The profile of the interviewees is presented in relation to age, gender, profession and level of education. The requirement to participate in the research was to be a health worker in primary health care in Petrópolis/RJ. FINAL CONSIDERATIONS: The portfolio serves as a research planning instrument. This experience report brought out the importance of using the portfolio in the elaboration of the dissertation, being relevant not as regards the organization and systematization of data collection for the Master' s research.
