ABSTRACT: OBJECTIVE: To gather and present information regarding a nutrition internship in social nutrition through an experience report. MATERIALS AND METHODS: The internship was carried out in a small municipality in the state of Minas Gerais, the municipality offered basic care services, the student followed all the activities of the responsible nutritionist and from there collected data registered for internal recording after the activities RESULTS AND DISCUSSION: We emphasize the activities and experiences developed during the internship, such as individual assistance, carrying out home visits, producing content to inform and welcome the population served and nutritional monitoring of Bolsa Família children, as well as highlighting the challenges faced. FINAL CONSIDERATIONS: Such experience is of great value and can contribute to the training of new nutrition professionals.
