RELATO DE EXPERIÊNCIA: DIÁRIO COMO DISPOSITIVO TERAPÊUTICO NO ATENDIMENTO DE UMA ADOLESCENTE NA UNIDADE DE TERAPIA INTENSIVA

ABSTRACT: OBJECTIVE: Discuss and analyze the construction of a ludic diary as a therapeutic tool and resource in the psychological sessions of a teenager in an Intensive Care Unit (ICU). METHODS: The method implemented was the experience report of the resident psychologist of the Intensive Care Unit Multi Professional Program in a public hospital of Santa Catarina. The report goes through the construction of the diary as a tool and the analysis of the need of its construction, the perceptions and the importance of the ludic to ease the elaboration of sentiments and sufferings that have deposited with the teenager’s illness and their admittance in the Intensive Care Unit. RESULTS AND DISCUSSION: The illness and hospitalization processes generate suffering and significative impact in the life of children and teenagers, being of fundamental importance to create safe spaces for the psychological assistance and give space for the subjectivity of going through this distressing moment. The children or teenager being hospitalized faces situations of helplessness, of being away from their caregivers and homelife, changes in their body due to the illness, as well as pain and invasive procedures. CONCLUSION: The use of a diary as a psychological resource was useful as a tool capable of potentializing the elaboration and subjectification of the psychic suffering resulting from the teenager’s admittance to the Intensive Care Unit.
