ASPECTOS DA SAÚDE MENTAL DOS PROFISSIONAIS DE SAÚDE NA PANDEMIA: UMA REVISÃO NARRATIVA

ABSTRACT: OBJECTIVE: Gather pertinent information related to the mental health of healthcare professionals in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic. MATERIALS AND METHODS: The articles selected for this review came from the databases of Latin American and Caribbean Literature in Health Sciences (LILACS), Medical Literature Search and Analysis Online System (MEDLINE) and Scientific Electronic Library Online (SciELO), using controlled descriptors. The search in databases included in articles published from 2019 onwards. RESULTS AND DISCUSSION: Five articles met the established inclusion criteria and were included in this review. These articles demonstrated the impacts that the pandemic has had on the mental health of the population, especially health professionals who have worked on the front line against the virus. FINAL CONSIDERATIONS: The evidence found in the articles in this review demonstrates how the pandemic has had significant implications for the mental health of health professionals and shows how important it is to promote mental health for this public.
