ABSTRACT: OBJECTIVE: To analyze the scientific literature on Turner syndrome and explore its thematic organization through the co-occurrence analysis of terms. METHOD: Narrative review combined with an exploratory bibliometric analysis. The documentary search covered major health information databases, and semantic co-occurrence networks were mathematically constructed and mapped using the VOSviewer software. RESULTS: The conceptual structure is organized into five thematic clusters. The central axis is predominantly driven by the diagnostic process and its relationship with patients’ age. From this core, thematic lines extend toward physiological growth and cellular mechanisms. However, studies addressing quality of life and women in adulthood occupy peripheral positions within the network, exhibiting limited connectivity with the biological foundations. CONCLUSIONS: The mapping reveals a fragmented scientific landscape, strongly anchored in the isolated pediatric diagnostic perspective. This thematic isolation highlights a systemic neglect of the transition of care into adulthood. Advancing both research and clinical practice requires translational study designs that integrate genetic burden with continuous psychosocial development throughout the life course.
